On Saturday, May 11, ten seminarians hosted an Open House event at the new seminary project building site in Buckingham County, Virginia. The event was open to the public and was advertised in the local media weeks in advance. Approximately eighty people attended, including board members of the Buckingham County Chamber of Commerce.

The event began at 1p.m with guided tours of the construction site given by the seminarians present. Afterward, the attendees enjoyed a complimentary catered lunch where they had a chance to meet with the seminarians and learn more about the seminary and its work.

The local residents showed great interest and were enthusiastic at the prospect of the seminary moving to their community. Following the event, the seminarians undertook the 18-hour road trip back to Winona very much encouraged by the positive response of their future neighbors.
