Ordination of Fr. Ngaruro in Kenya

On November 1, Bishop Fellay ordained native African James Ngaruro to the priesthood in his home country of Kenya. In the years preceding his ordination, Fr. Ngaruro had studied at Holy Cross Seminary in Australia but later was sent to America to complete his training at St. Thomas Aquinas Seminary. Several of the seminarians who had been his fellow students there, eager to be with their confrere for this momentous occasion, travelled to Africa to witness the event. They provided a schola for the ceremony as well as for his first Mass on November 2. After the ceremony, the seminarians stayed a few days during which they visited with the faithful and were treated to a safari tour of the countryside.
